Through Jmeter, it is possible to carry out verifications of resources on different components of applications so that you know its performance, state and working.

Using different tests batteries, you will be able to test HTTP/FTP servers, data bases and Perl and Java scripts, reporting in the results whether each component has the ideal response level.

These tests will tell you, for example, whether the FTP server has already enough memory for storing data or whether it already stores enough data and you are approaching its limit of capacity.

Jmeter comes with some manufacturing samples for analyzing different http and FTP requests, among others.
